Job description
We have a new opening for a Credit & Collections Specialist. Our Credit & Collections Specialist will manage collection efforts for their assigned portfolio. This role will be on our hybrid schedule out of our Cleveland (North Olmsted), Ohio location.
Responsibilities
- Provide support to the Director and Manager of Credit and Collection Services
- Conduct research to identify and resolve credit and collections issues
- Interface with internal and external customers
- Process customer remittance information from the lockbox
- Coordinate all cash application tasks
- Process customer maintenance, inter-company transactions as well as all customer return requests and reconcile disparities
- Compile end-of-month statistical reports
- Perform month-end closing tasks
- Analyze system data to improve accounts receivable metrics
- Associate Degree or equivalent is required
- Minimum of 2 years of finance/credit experience as well as the ability to type 60-70wpm with a high degree of accuracy
- Strong in Excel, SAP a plus
- Must be a team player and possess excellent communication skills (both oral and written) with the ability to maintain positive relationships at all levels
- Must be detail oriented with the ability to respond effectively to pressure and heavy workloads
- Ability to work overtime as required for month end data entry
