The National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) currently has an opening for a Credit Analyst II or III in our New York Office. This position serves as the primary analyst of structured and corporate transactions and could vary based on workload. They will perform high quality credit analysis with an expectation of well developed, credit and analytical expertise in the field of assignment.

Functions include rating and analyzing a high-volume portfolio of debt securities for inclusion in the NAIC Securities database. Analysts are also expected to actively contribute to various SVO initiatives and projects on a regular basis. This position works independently and must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and maintain collegial relations with peers, and other internal and external customers. Minimum Education and/or Experience Required:

Master's degree (M.A.), M.B.A. in Finance or equivalent and/or CFA. Related experience of 5 to 10 years with at least 5+ years of fundamental credit analysis, and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience performing credit analysis at a Nationally Recognized Statistical Rating Organization (NRSRO or “credit rating agency”) or at a commercial bank.

Compensation:

$130,000 up to $182,000, to be commensurate with experience and education
