Wide Open Tech is a full-service custom software development and digital marketing firm located in Wilmington, North Carolina. We are a small and nimble team of creatives who help businesses build software, websites, and digital marketing strategies that grow their businesses. We have recently gained multiple projects that require a heavy amount of copywriting.

We are searching for a talented blogger and SEO copywriter who can help us with client blogs and website copy. This will be an ongoing position if you're the right person for the job at the right price. You will be needed for an average of 5 to 20 hours per month to start out, with chances of gaining more hours if you're handing in quality work on time with minimal guidance. Note that we are willing to provide some training to college students as far as how to implement keywords, format website copy, and structure blogs, but we expect you to take that guidance and run with it pretty quickly.

Topics and industries you'll write for can include:
- Dental
- Storage units
- Kayaking/nature
- Digital marketing
- Replacement windows
- Traffic engineering

REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to research competitive brands and run with quick research
- Ability to provide clean copy that is fee of grammatical errors
- Ability to implement SEO research such as keywords (which will be provided)
- Must be friendly, positive, and easy to get along with
- Must be willing to do Zoom calls if needed, as well as work outside of our awesome coworking space in downtown Wilmington at least a couple times a month.
- Must be able to provide copies of your work, including a blog sample, article sample, professional document samples, etc.

Extensive experience is not required. We're just looking for someone talented and excited about gaining experience and writing about a lot of fun topics. Creative writing and journalism majors are great fits for this role! This is a great part-time college position to build your experience in the writing industry!
