Sly Fox Brewing Company is a 27-year-old family-run brewery based in Pottstown, PA. Our award-winning, year-round line-up and highly anticipated seasonal beers are available at retailers in PA, NJ, DE, MD, FL, and PR as well as at our six PA tap-house locations.

As a long-established PA brewery positioned for rapid growth, Sly Fox is seeking a highly motivated, self-starting beer professional to represent our brand in Central Pennsylvania and Maryland.

A successful candidate will have the capability to become synonymous with the Sly Fox Brewing in their given territory. This territory will include all of central PA, with specific focuses on State College, Harrisburg, Altoona, Johnstown, Williamsport, Chambersburg and Gettysburg; as well as MD, with specific focuses on Baltimore, Frederick, Columbia, Hagerstown & Montgomery County.

This is a full-time sales role that offers flexibility but also demands significant night and weekend work. In addition to a significant number of large-scale events, regular retail samplings and other customer-facing events will be a consistent part of this role.

As our first, full-time sales representative dedicated to these markets, this role will provide opportunities for growth, development, and an opportunity to work with some of our strongest and longest-standing wholesaler partners. A forward-thinking approach and resolve will be given equal consideration as experience.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Consistent sales growth in a specified region.

• Developing relationships with existing accounts while aggressively pursuing new market opportunities.

• Establishing and supporting strategic partnerships/sponsorships (e.g. concert venues, event spaces, sports organizations)

• Build strong relationships with wholesaler sales teams in order to maximize influence in your markets.

• Providing brand support for both on-premise and off-premise accounts.

• Ordering and Inventory management with four different wholesale partners.

• Develop/implement strategic sales & marketing initiatives and provide after-action reviews to SFBC & wholesaler leadership

• Assess and act on evolving market conditions.

• Educate and train key wholesale and retail partners about the Sly Fox Brewery, brands and culture.

• Contribute to the Sales & Operations Planning process that includes effective, timely communication of sales projections with the Operations Department to accomplish efficient purchasing, planning and producing of beer.

• Collaborate with the team internally to contribute new ideas for products and development of marketing initiatives.

Requirements:

• High School diploma

• Strong organizational proficiency, exceptional written, and verbal communication skills.

• Familiarity in MS Outlook & MS Office Suite (e.g. Excel, PowerPoint)

• A love of craft beer

• Residence within the assigned territory

• Flexible schedule & willingness to travel

• Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record

• Ability to lift 25 pound cases of beer and maneuver 160 pound kegs

"Nice to have" but not required:

• Sales experience in the Alc Bev category

• Experience with VIP or similar sales/inventory reporting tools

• Experience working with beer wholesalers

• Formal beer training and/or certification(s)

• An understanding of the 3-tier system in the US

• Experience working within close proximity of very fast goats

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
