Counselor - West Linn High School
The start date for this position is August 22, 2023 for the 2023-2024 school year.
Please note: To comply with Governor Kate Brown’s Executive Order, all staff, substitutes and volunteers in K-12 schools are required to be fully vaccinated by October 18, 2021. Upon hire we will need to collect a copy of your COVID-19 vaccination card or evidence of a qualifying medical or religious exception from the mandate.
Position Description:
The school counselor works directly with students, strategizes with teams so students are academically and socially successful, plans with the school leadership team for staff development, and communicates with parents. The counselor will collaborate with staff to implement academic and social support systems that engage and ensure success for all students; focus on counseling that is integrated with learning and character education that promotes a growth mindset and academic progress.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of best practices in counseling;
- Masters Degree preferred;
- Oregon teaching license in assigned area(s) and proper endorsements
