What You Will Do:


Overview

Under general direction, the Correspondence Clerk I is responsible for performing a variety of clerical duties within the mailroom for the Central Business Office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for opening, sorting, stamping and distributing all incoming mail.
  • Responsible for researching all returned mail and updating related documentation in the patient accounting systems.
  • Responsible for scanning and indexing all correspondence, records request forms, subpoenas, court orders and completed forms into the appropriate Document Type in the patient accounts systems daily.
  • Receives, sorts and distributes all incoming mail to the appropriate staff or department and prepare outgoing items for shipment. Operates mail processing equipment, and performs copy jobs.

What You Need to Be Successful:

Experience
  • 1 year working in a mailroom or office environment
