This vacancy is located at the Bridge City Center for Youth in Bridge City, Louisiana.

This position may be assigned to work at satellite locations located in West Feliciana or Jefferson Parish.

The Corrections Juvenile Food Production Supervisor title has a Special Entrance Rate of $1,073.60 biweekly.

Corrections Juvenile Food Production Supervisors are also eligible to earn $1.00 additional dollar for every regular hour worked.

No Civil Service test score is required in order to be considered for this vacancy.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Two years of food service experience in an institutional, hospital, military or commercial food service operation.

SUBSTITUTIONS:
Enrollment in a food service related curriculum at a vocational, trade, or technical institute will substitute for the required experience on a month for month basis.

College credit in food and nutrition, dietetics or institutional management will substitute for the required experience on the basis of one semester hour for one month of experience.

Licensure by the State of Louisiana as a professional dietitian will substitute for all of the required experience.

NOTE:
Experience which did not involve food handling or preparation, such as washing dishes or bussing tables, will not be considered as qualifying.

NOTE:
Any college hours or degree must be from a school accredited by one of the following regional accrediting bodies: the Middle States Commission on Higher Education; the New England Commission of Higher Education; the Higher Learning Commission; the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities; the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools; and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.

Receives menus and supervises the preparation of food for cooking; observes and corrects cooking methods and procedures.

Supervises student offenders on the serving line, regulating quantity of serving sizes.

Maintains security regulations in the food production areas.

Instructs new kitchen workers on policies and procedures to be followed in the food preparation area.
