To serve as shift supervisor over a group of Juvenile Corrections Food Production Workers engaged in preparing and cooking food and serving meals; to supervise cleaning activities in a food service operation at a juvenile correctional institution.

General from a Corrections Dietetic Supervisor or Corrections Food Manager.

Supervision Exercised:
Direct line over Corrections Juvenile Food Production Workers.

Job Distinctions:
Differs from Juvenile Corrections Food Production Worker by the presence of supervisory responsibility over a group of Corrections Juvenile Food Production Workers. Corrections Juvenile Food Production Workers supervise a group of student offenders.

Supervises a group of Juvenile Corrections Food Production Workers.

Receives menus and supervises the preparation of food for cooking; observes and corrects cooking methods and procedures.

Supervises student offenders on the serving line, regulating quantity of serving sizes.

Directs cleaning of kitchen, dishes, dining room areas, and equipment.

Maintains security regulations in the food production areas.

Instructs new kitchen workers on policies and procedures to be followed in the food preparation area.

Requisitions, receives, stores, and dispenses food supplies; and maintains security of storage areas and food supplies.
