The Purpose
Oversee the daily operations of the Bridge program including integrated education and training, digital literacy, and career related English language acquisition.

What You'll be Doing
- Schedule, oversee and teach classes
- Hire, supervise and support adjunct faculty
- Conduct formal observations and provide necessary professional development
- recommendations
- Assess the effectiveness of educational material and standards-based curriculum
- Advise students and monitor progress
- Conduct recruitment activities
- Monitor program effectiveness and explore areas for growth
- Devise and execute implementation plans for new classes/programs
- Develop and modify curriculum for both online and face to face classes
- Establish and maintain partnerships
- Ensure compliance and confidentiality with all policies and procedures of the College, NC
- Community College System, and applicable state and federal agencies.
Additionally
- Represent BRCC and the Adult Education and Literacy department at conferences and meetings
- Maintain a positive, productive work environment.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree in education or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
Experience
Three years teaching at-risk or disenfranchised learners.
Knowledge and Skills
A successful candidate will have the ability to multitask and be able to manage a significant volume of work. The candidate will possess strong people skills, be able to work effectively with diverse populations, and be flexible and adaptable to change. Knowledge of Basic Skills programming, adult learning theory, and best practices in instructional delivery and supervision is required. The successful candidate will have strong technology skills.

Physical Demands
The ability to perform all duties associated with the position including, but not limited to, lifting, prolonged standing, sitting, bending, stooping, and operating or performing work with associated tools and machines. Must have a commitment to safety.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $5,045.00 - $6,019.00 per month
