Description
- The marketing coordinator will collaborate and support district departments and schools in creating, leading and executing marketing campaigns, initiatives, events and outreach, with results impacting higher student and staff recruitment and retention.
- Develop promotional content for traditional and non-traditional marketing channels and toolkits.
- Create content for digital toolkits for principals and departments to strengthen grassroots outreach.
- Write key, branded messages for external and internal campaigns, in addition to transcreating and adapt district’s key messages to effectively communicate with diverse communities.
- Provide campaign direction and concept to graphic designers to ensure collateral’s look and feel and content is representative of diverse communities.
- Create a calendar of community events and coordinate marketing opportunities for schools and/or departments.
- Support the development of comprehensive, strategic and outcomes-based internal and external marketing campaigns, in addition to the execution of district-wide marketing events.
- Lead editorial calendar and content creation for year-round marketing ads.
- Collaborate with the Communication Services team and other district departments to coordinate marketing efforts to effective promote district initiative and build and maintain effective working relationships with central staff members, principals and campus staff to facilitate marketing campaign efforts.
- Contribute to and collaborate on special projects.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university required.
- Three to five years of professional experience, public relations, marketing or communications; school public relations experience preferred.
- Ability to transcreate and adapt the district’s key messages to effectively communicate with diverse communities, in addition to having experience with content writing for traditional and non-traditional platforms.
- Understanding of grassroots marketing and general knowledge of traditional and non-traditional media, while having an understanding of Dallas communities is preferred.
- Possess strong organizational, time management, and human relations skills and the ability to work independently and highly self-motivated.
- Ability to communicate and work with staff members at all levels and to handle multiple deadline situations at once.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus and experience working with diverse communities is a plus.
