Randall Construction Holdings is currently seeking a Controller / Accountant / Bookkeeper to work in our Apopka, FL Headquarters.
Purpose: To maintain communication between Operations and Finance. To maintain control of all aspects of job costing, reporting, resources and revenue. To streamline company procedures between finance and other departments in the company.
Knowledge, Skills, Education, & Experience Required:
Thorough knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
- 3-5 years of accounting experience preferred (at least 1 year in any Construction industry).
- Expert knowledge of personal computer applications and spreadsheet analysis.
- Ability to handle many tasks and projects concurrently.
- Ability to communicate well orally and in writing. (Bi-lingual a plus.)
- Proven analytical and organizational abilities.
- Two (2) or Four (4) year accounting degree preferred.
Job Description requirements will include, but are not limited to:
Enter the budget, supplied by the Project manager, for the job in accounting software
- Process and post Randall pay applications (AIA Billings)
- Responsible for timely submission of all Monthly billing packets (AIA, lien release, sworn statements, etc.). Works with project managers to get updated information for billing
- Acquire lien releases for AIA submittal
- Intercompany billings are done on a monthly basis - coordination with divisions for submittal
- Maintain up-to-date records of all NTOs for current projects and tracking for the start and end of the project
- Job Start tracking and document tracking
- Maintain electronic job files - including contract, C/Os, billing, NTOs, releases, insurance certificates and correspondence
- Request the NOC and NTO
- Submit weekly job cost reports to the Project manager
- Coordinates changes needed on job cost coding
- Process and post Contract Change Orders
- Process and post Subcontracts and the Change Orders
- Process Subcontract pay applications and submit for payment (Back up to AP)
- Creates new Subcontract vendors in ComputerEase, coordinating the request of the W9 and COI meets job requirements
- Set-up, coordinate, and evaluate Job Cost meeting with Project Managers
- Analyzes project reports, status, estimates to complete and project progress with Project managers
- Job Costing tracking and analysis
- Updates the project financials and status reporting to management.
- Requests all COIs and maintains electronic files
- Presents a positive, outgoing, professional image
- Must have MS Suite (strong EXCEL) skills; be organized and capable of multi-tasking. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Lead Accounting role preferred.
- Experience with Multi-divisional company settings.
- Solid understanding of Profit & Loss (P&L) entries and reporting.
- Position requires 10 key Data Entry Skills, General Math Skills, General Financial and Accounting knowledge, Attention to Detail, Thoroughness, and good Verbal Communication Skills.
