Job description

Responsibilities:

• General construction crew support. Customer-oriented approach and a desire to assist people.
• Performs tasks directly related to shipping, receiving, order picking, inventory, delivery, etc.
• Verifies all incoming and outgoing product inventory transactions. Pulls correct items and quantity of product to fill customer orders. Assists with unloading and loading of delivery vehicles.
• Load, unload and identify building materials and tools and distribute them to the appropriate locations.
• Clean and prepare jobsite to eliminate possible hazards.
• Frequently lifts, carries or otherwise moves and positions product weighing up to 55 pounds unassisted when stocking, loading or unloading products. Typically bends, stoops and/or crouches on a regular basis from various heights to stock or pick product for installers.
• Operates forklift: proper training. May also use material handling equipment (including pallet jack, dollies, handcart & conveyor).
• Cleans and maintains work area to ensure compliance to safety regulations, including sweeping, mopping, emptying trash containers, etc.

Qualifications:

• Will possess or learn knowledge of materials, methods and the tools involved in the construction for the jobsite. Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as needed.
• High level of initiative, commitment, and devotion to fulfill company goals.
• Must have a source of reliable transportation between projects if needed.
• Ability to work as a team member and independently.
• Flexibility to perform a variety of job assignments.
• Bi-lingual (Spanish) is a plus.
