New Hire Bonus of $1,500 ($500 after 30 days, 60 days and 90 days of employment)

McDowall Company of Waite Park is currently seeking laborers for a local project in Grand Forks. McDowall Company is a fifth-generation family-owned business located in Waite Park, MN and is a member of the Local 10 Sheet Metal Union. We are currently hiring sheet metal workers for construction at the new Altru Hospital in Grand Forks. Construction for this project is expected to extend into 2024.

Sheet Metal workers accepted into the apprenticeship program will receive training including: proper design, fabrication, installation, and operation of heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) systems. Additional training includes welding, layout, drafting, architectural metals and service technician training. No experience is necessary; however, a general knowledge of construction is helpful.

Work Duties:

-Operation of basic hand tools (hammer, tin snips, tape measure, caulking gun, etc…)

-Lift & carry items weighing 100lbs and greater

-Climb ladders, work off lifts, & work at heights

-Assist journeyperson in fabrication & installation of sheet metal products

-Organize & cleanup jobsite

-Stage sheet metal material

-Perform duties in various temperatures & weather conditions

-Flexible schedule to work around different project start times

-Work with crews of 2-10 people

-Maintain a safe working environment for yourself & the other members of the crew

Pay: $20.00 - $37.69 per hour
