Don Julian Builders, Kansas City’s premier custom home builder, is seeking to hire an Estimator Assistant . Since 1974 Don Julian Builders has been on the leading edge of custom homebuilding in the metro Kansas City area. Many of our team of motivated professionals have been with the company for 20+ years. Join our team and be a part of constructing some of the most beautiful and unique homes in the Kansas City area. Pay will be based on proficiency and experience.

Seeking an energetic, positive, number loving candidate to work in our Lenexa, KS office location. Candidate must be comfortable working in an office environment and adhere to office hours: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm. A background in residential new home construction is preferred, but not required.

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

· Request pricing from subcontractors

· Compare and approve invoices against budgets

· Maintain and create pricing requirements in multiple communities

· Edit client proposals

· Track and update pricing on model/spec homes

· Track and maintain site allowance/cost

Qualifications:

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Ability to interact with peers and subcontractors in a professional manner

· Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

· Ability to negotiate and communicate effectively

· Ability to analyze data and work with figures

· Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

· Attention to detail

· Knowledge and ability to read construction plans is not required, but preferred
