PURPOSE OF POSITION: Provide technical support and maintain all RCMA staff and children’s computers in assigned centers and area offices. If assigned, act as the Computer Field Specialist for one of the charter schools. Troubleshoot and maintain networks, including access to the Intranet and Internet. Setup new computers and networks as needed. Provide training to staff and maintain RCMA standards for computer use and maintenance. Trouble-shoot and update computer software as required. This position also requires management of area and center cell phone for RCMA vehicles.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

1. Provide Desktop support to the Centers, Area Offices, and Charter Schools in established geographical areas.

2. Provide end user training in MS Office and Windows Applications.

3. Proper inventory control and completion of paperwork to include Track-it systems.

4. Evaluate computer needs at each Center, Area Office, and Charter Schools making necessary recommendation to the Director of Information Technology.

5. Provide Technical support – problem solving via telephone and on-site.

6. Troubleshoot issues with the phone network; this includes contacting providers and support technicians.

7. Coordinate with Help Desk Specialist on managing cell phones for the all area and center RCMA vehicles.

8. Maintain and update RCMA authorized software.

9. Ensure proper computer backups are made as necessary.

10. Assist in management of SharePoint as required.

11. Assist with Alert Media program as required.

12. Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High School diploma or GED, prefer 2-year degree in computer science or computer or network certifications. Experience working with Microsoft and Windows applications. At least 2-years experience in computer and network support and trouble-shooting.

OTHER: Must have or be able to obtain Florida drivers license and a driving record acceptable to RCMA’s insurance. Reliable transportation. Must also be able to complete a satisfactory background check for working around children.

Additional Comments: This is for a regional Position. Will need to drive RCMA vehicle and travel. Will need to live somewhere within the Area served.
