Description:SUMMARY
The Comparison Shopper is responsible for posing as a consumer and contacting franchise dealerships to gather market area vehicle pricing. This individual must demonstrate self-motivation, strong communication and accurate data entry skills. Comparison Shoppers are persuasive, quick thinking and willing to shop franchise dealerships via phone and accurately record the data provided.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Research
- Navigate dealership or third party program websites to locate a predetermined year, make, model and trim level example of a vehicle
- Distinguish vehicle pricing data on websites (MSRP, invoice, sale price, customer cash rebates and dealer cash incentives)
- Prepare a believable alias profile for each comparison shop
Telephone and Communication
- Manage inbound and outbound calls
- Maintain alias continuity at all times
- Obtain responses for all required data points, overcoming objections from dealers as needed
- Develop perspective to suspect validity of quoted amounts and ask appropriate qualifying questions of dealer
- Speak in a clear manner without any distinguishing features (phrases, pitch, utterances, patterns, etc.) that may cause recognition or raise dealer suspicion
- When more efficient, use text communications such as email, and/or telephone text, to supplement phone conversations
Data Entry
- Record and save received data as instructed
- Store documented backup as instructed
- Alternate effectively between databases and spreadsheets
- Achieve minimum of 10 quotes per day by the end of training period
- Achieve a monthly average of 15.0 quotes per comp day within six months following completion of training period
Requirements:REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Proficient in MS Office
- Service oriented with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Team player, detail-oriented: able to multi-task
- Strong communication, listening, written and verbal skills
- Independent, self-starter with ability to prioritize and handle multiple responsibilities
- Accurate and efficient data entry skills
- Organized with excellent follow through skills
- Can work independently without frequent direction
- Manage and organize multiple deadlines
- Planning and organizing skills
- Exceptional time-management skills
- Positive, can-do attitude
Job Type: Full-time
