A leading Northwest construction consulting company is seeking an hourly construction consultant to assist with loan monitoring for their commercial projects in and around the Las Vegas area. This opportunity offers a flexible schedule with the comfort of on-going work throughout the foreseeable future.

What do we do?

We provide full-service consulting to lenders of commercial and residential construction projects. We assist lenders in the review of construction documents as well as report to them the status of the construction work monthly and or per pay period. We analyze monthly draws from general contractors and or owners and provide the banks/lenders with feedback to assist in paying the monthly draws.

We look for people that have:

• Strong narrative writing and communication skills
• Punctual with appointments and deadlines
• Computer skills- including Word, Adobe, Excel
• Great attitude with a willingness to be flexible with hours
• Ability to complete take offs as required- multiple scopes
• Experience with preparation, review, and approval of pay applications
• Min 5 years in the commercial construction industry as either a project engineer, estimator, project manager, senior project manager or superintendent

Responsibilities and Duties

Verifying monthly billings provided by the contractor for each job. This will involve:

• Monthly site visits for each job contracted
• Be able to identify conditions that could impact completion of construction project
• Have a keen eye for scope of work completed and estimating work to be completed compared to contract
• Meeting with onsite representative to review billing, schedule, offsite material, etc.
• Walking each job to verify billing is representative of construction completed
• Completing report to be submitted to the loan company
• Attend monthly meetings on-site, if applicable
