The Command Presentations Customer Support Video Teleconferencing (VTC) Technician will operate VTC sessions for high-level Customers, perform trouble-shooting and minor repairs on VTC systems, and maintain, modify, and enhance customer VTC network capabilities and services.


Responsibilities:


  • Coordinate with Customer on all command presentations, to include scheduling coordination
  • Provide day-to-day setups of videoconferences and videoconference bridge operation
  • Setup conference rooms and configure system prior to VTC start time, conduct pre-conference audio/video checks
  • Operate VTC equipment including powering up teleconferencing equipment, checking equipment for proper operation, setting audio levels, and positioning camera functions
  • Actively and consistently support all efforts to quickly mitigate issues and restore the Customer’s services
  • Correct network and equipment degradations. If necessary, reconnect dropped participants
  • Maintain configuration settings (speed settings, full duplex, etc.) for participants to ensure quality meets industry standards
  • Provide technical assistance to users
  • Monitor VTCs to ensure exceptional audio and video quality
  • Create and maintain technical documentation of processes and procedures used throughout normal video operations
  • Track and update progress and details in ServiceNow trouble ticketing system while troubleshooting and performing fix actions
  • Present progress and performance metrics information for briefings and other presentations
  • Train staff in the operations of VTC equipment and other AV equipment associated with VTC services

Requirements:


  • Must possess a current TS (SCI eligible)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related technical discipline or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training/work experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in VTC troubleshooting and support
  • Knowledge of video technology and experience working with a variety of audiovisual equipment
  • Excellent problem-solving skills to troubleshoot complex VTC problems.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office software products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing to work effectively with a variety of government, military and contractor personnel at all levels

Preferred:


  • Military and/or government experience
  • Experience with ServiceNow
  • Crestron Technician certification and/or Thinklogical Tech 300 certification or higher level relevant certification
