Overview
Maximize cash collections while providing customer service/support to our internal team and external clients.
Job Summary
Collections Specialist to call insurance adjusters/clients on outstanding past due accounts. Also, expected to collaborate and share knowledge to support the unity of the team. Other duties include communication with field appraisers, following company guidelines and processes, and escalating issues to the Collections Team Lead.
Requirements:Essential Duties and Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform a variety of duties associated with improving cash flow:
- Make telephone calls and/or email contact with internal & external customers with amounts past due, determining reason and requesting payment or adjustment to correct billing errors;
- Maintain records of all delinquent accounts by logging collection notes and results in Teams’ Tracking Sheet;
- Resolve collection disputes; make inquiries, research, and communicate with internal and external clients;
- Responsible for managing a portfolio of between 50-75 accounts;
- Escalate problems or concerns to supervisor for resolution/solutions;
- Respond to email and telephone inquiries from clients and interview clients by phone to investigate escalated complaints;
- Reconciliation of National Accounts by engaging Executive Staff for resolution;
- Document and participate in Action Plans on assigned accounts and collaborate with team members;
- Assist with documentation on policies & procedures;
- Responsible for special projects as assigned by the Management;
- Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; gather and analyze information skillfully; develop alternative solutions; work well in group problem solving situations;
- Adapt to changes in the work environment; manage competing demands.
Key Competencies
- Basic financial skills including, but not limited to, knowledge of commonly used collections practices and procedures.
- Accounts Receivable knowledge;
- Proficient in working on a PC, and competent in the use of Microsoft Office. Full proficiency in Excel, including Pivot tables and V-Lookups, is preferable;
- Strong ability to interact and communicate effectively, orally and in writing;
- Problem solving skills;
- Able to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities;
- Strong attention to detail;

Requirements
Monday-Friday work schedule (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM) – Not a remote position
