Non-Profit company seeking a Coffee Shop Manager to oversee the daily operations of our store. The Manager is responsible for marketing and sales, ensuring product safety and quality and managing inventory including ordering materials, receiving merchandise, and monitoring sales and customer service. The ideal candidate for this position has a knack for identifying potential new business opportunities, and a proven ability to foster a team environment where employees feel valued. This is a supervisory position.

Key Responsibilities

Preparation and delivery of food and coffee to customers

Hire, schedule, and hold staff accountable for daily duties

Train employees and volunteers on drinks preparation and proper use of coffee equipment

Coordinate with vendors and order supplies coffee shop supplies as needed

Maintain updated records of daily, weekly and monthly revenues and expenses

Prepare deposits and coordinate with LCS Administrator to create financial reports

Add new menu items based on seasonality and customers’ preferences

Train and lead with excellence in Customer Service

Ensure all cafe areas are clean and tidy and ready for County Health Inspections

Create and maintain a cleaning schedule

Nurture friendly relationships to increase loyalty and boost our reputation

Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Work experience as a Cafe Manager or Barista

ServSafe certification preferred or the ability to obtain one

Hands-on experience with professional coffee machines

Strong math skills

Available to work within open hours, currently 7am-3:00pm Monday thru Friday

Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team

Customer service attitude

Understanding of scheduling and accountability

High school diploma

Additional certifications (e.g. in Business Administration or Hospitality) is a plus
