Job description

Formidable Engineering is currently looking for a skilled CNC machinist that is able to take designs created and apply them to metal plates for memorial plaque purposes.

We will be CNC machining on brass and bronze for memorial tablets. Products will be entire plates including pictures, frames, borders, lettering, and other designs.

Skills required

- Minimum of 5 years mill set up

- Physical ability to stand and run machinery

- Read & interpret drawings and specifications

- Use mics, indicators, calipers, and gages to produce quality plates

- Inspect your work and maintain quality

- Employee with his/her own set of tools is preferred

- Tolerances: Typically ±.0005

- Design skills in CAD or other similar software is a plus

- Getting information from all relevant sources.

- Controlling machines and processes.

- Performing inspections of equipment, structures, materials and products.

- Analyzing information and finding the best solutions to problems.

- Maintaining clear and honest communication at all times.

- Keeping the work environment safe.

- Learning and applying the latest relevant knowledge to the work.

Requirements:

• Certificate in machine shop technology or machine tool technology/machinist.
• Manual tool experience is a plus.
• 1-2 years’ experience in mechanical assembly is preferred.
• Recognized apprenticeship may be required.
• Strong analytical, communication, and computer skills.
• Understanding of mathematics.
• Attention to detail and self-motivation.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour
