The Cottages of Swansboro is a new concept of Assisted Living here in the quaint town of Swansboro, NC. We are a unique facility that is family owned and operated. The Cottages is seeking dynamic individuals to fill a CNA position .

Candidates should possess a positive attitude and enjoy interacting with seniors and their families. They must be compassionate and also have a good attention for detail and be able to multitask while remaining focused.

Job Duties: Certified Nursing Assistant

.

(CNA) Certified Nursing Assistant:

· Assist residents with activities of daily living & encourage independence.

· Answer Resident’s needs promptly.

· Respect confidentiality at all times

· Ensure all residents’ rights are protected

· Ensure resident & staff safety by reporting unsafe equipment or safety hazards immediately

· Care for residents’ personal belongings and ensure each resident’s name is in his/her clothing

· Second Shift pulls Residents Laundry for Washing

· Make beds and keep residents’ personal space clean daily

· Keep common area straight and free of clutter.

· Complete & submit to supervisor any incident/accident reports that happen on your shift.

· Follow the rules and regulations as outlined by the State of North Carolina and the Cottages of Swansboro employee manual.

· Report any misconduct or breach of procedures that you witness on the job

· Measure vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, & blood pressure)

· Report for tour of duty 15 minutes before shift begins to make rounds w/ the shift that is signing off.

· Encourage resident participation in activities and assist them in getting to activities as needed

· Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers of residents

· Practice good infection control measures by using universal precautions

· Complete documentation as directed

· Check diet requirements of new residents

· Prepare menu items according to The Cottages recipes

· Make substitutions w/ permission from the supervisor & record on the weekly menu forms

· Prepare food served following standard recipes and special diets

· Plan food production to coordinate with meal serving hours

· Help ensure excellent quality, temperature, and appearance of food

· Apportion food for serving and assist in serving

· Assist in scheduled cleaning duties according to standards of sanitation

· Make rounds with oncoming shift.

· Do not leave residents unattended.

· Responsible for helping do anything else necessary to ensure smooth operations

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $11.00 per hour
