We are seeking a Full-Time Clinical Supervisor(CS) - Registered Nurse to join our team. Serving Prince William County, Fauquier County, Springfield, Lorton and Burke areas. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of skilled nursing standards of care and operations management experience. A high level of professionalism, excellent communication skills, and compassionate leadership qualities are must-haves. Must be able to think critically and adapt quickly to new situations.
The CS is responsible for supervising and providing oversight on the clinical portion of the other departments and doing skilled visits with clients. The position is ultimately responsible and accountable for the nursing care received by our clients in the comfort of their homes.
Responsibilities include:
- Provides care as defined within the scope of the state’s nurse practice act.
- Makes the initial evaluation visit (Start of Care) and regularly reevaluates the client’s nursing needs for both skilled and Personal Care Services (PCS) clients.
- Provides those services requiring substantial and specialized nursing skill.
- Initiates appropriate preventive and rehabilitative nursing procedures.
- Prepares clinical and progress notes and summaries of care.
- Informs the physician and other personnel of changes in the client’s condition and needs.
- Assesses competency of clinical staff and ensures staff is assigned in a manner that promotes quality, continuity, and safety of a client’s care.
- Supervises, educates, and coaches other nursing personnel/care-giving staff.
- Plans and implements in-service and training programs for caregivers and nurses.
- Oversees the maintenance of client clinical records, statistics, reports and records for purposes of evaluation and reporting of organization activities.
- Assures proper maintenance of clinical records in compliance with local, state and federal laws.
- Assures compliance with all local, state and federal laws regarding licensure and certification of organization personnel.
- Identifies and participates in performance improvement activities.
- Stays informed about changes in the field of nursing and home health care. Shares information with appropriate organization personnel.
- Promotes home health referrals in the health care community.
- Works with community emergency response organization and local public health departments, as needed.
- Participates in the monthly on-call rotationExpectations
- Weekly complete and submit the productivity report to payroll by the Monday of each cycle.
- Facilitate weekly clinical orientation for new hires and complete skills assessment
- Complete and submit client care notes within 24 hours of scheduled visit.
- Complete client reassessment and on-site supervisory visits at the set intervals.

Qualifications:
- Registered nurse with current unencumbered licensure to practice professional nursing in the state in which the care is being provided. Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred
- Minimum five (3) years of clinical experience with at least half of that time working in home health or related health care organization. Minimum three to five years of direct employee supervision.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise and direct staff.
- Possess exceptional nursing assessment skills
- Comply with accepted professional standards of practice.
- Proven ability to build quality and implement improvements within the operation.
- Excellent interpersonal and Analytic skills
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to deal tactfully with clients, staff and community.
- Case management skills are a plus
- Ability to travel on a daily basis including weekends, nights and holidays
- Understands regulatory compliance: State requirement for the franchise location and Federal regulations including but not limited to OSHA, HIPA

Pay: $90,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
