Alcon is looking for a home-based Clinical Project Manager II who has experience with project planning, budgets/forecasts and timelines and vendor management.
Job Description
-
Partner with cross-functional teams to develop project plans, forecasts/budgets, and timelines (milestones)
-
Provide comprehensive tracking and monitoring for project team using project management expertise and software
-
Integrate program specific requirements into relevant business systems
-
Monitor and report project team activities against project plan to identify deviations from planned timing, budget or scope
-
Use appropriate communication tools to ensure that all project customers are informed of project status
-
Facilitate risk management of projects and escalation/mitigation of significant deviations
-
Facilitate project team meetings with agendas, minutes, and action items
-
Assure that project support activities of functional teams are aligned with the project plan
-
Work with Finance and Functions to build budgets and monitor actual vs. expected spend
-
Expertise in Clinical Trial Budgets, Vendor Management and GCP Audit Response preferred.
Clinical Research Project Management (Life Sciences) work includes:

Planning, directing, creating, and communicating clinical study time-lines
-
Gathering input from cross-functional teams and creating plans that help the team produce deliverables on schedule

Ensuring consistency of clinical study and processes across clinical trials
-
Overseeing and resolving operational aspects of clinical trials in conjunction with project teams and in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOP), good clinical practice (GCP) and specific country regulations such as site and vendor selection, preparing clinical trial budgets

Ensuring study is conducted within clinical trial protocols
-
Monitoring progress and following up with team members and line managers when issues develop
-
Implementing and preparing the clinical development strategy as outlined by the clinical teams

May develop recruitment strategy for the trial in program
Key Requirements/Minimum Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +13 yrs; Assoc.+9 yrs; M.S.+2 yrs; PhD+0 yrs)

The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English
