Monitor each procedure performed in the Stat Laboratory for compliance with clinical laboratory standards and inform/assist the STAT Supervisors/Chief of Service/Associate Director regarding the state of laboratory testing.

Order/maintain sufficient reagents/QC materials and QC/QA and other records pertinent to regulatory inspection.

Receive/record all PT samples and dispatch PT results/exception reports to regulatory agencies.

Maintain all QC documentation – Linearities and Calibrations, Lot-to-Lot, Correlation studies, plus temperature/daily equipment QC.

Prepare Stat Chemistry guidelines and procedures and initiate all studies that affect the laboratory testing and coordinate staff in-service education and training in clinical Pathology as the need arises.

1. Valid license as a clinical laboratory technologist issued by the NYSED; and

2. Candidates must also meet one of the qualification requirements of a laboratory supervisor as outlined in Title 1 0, Section 58-1.4 of the New York Public HeaIth Law.
