Class A - Local Route Driver - Touch Freight - Full Time

*Home Daily

*Bi-weekly pay

Worked days:

• Monday - Fridays (Days Only) w/ Saturday available
• Weekend and holiday (as needed)

Job Brief

This job requires a qualified driver to oversee daily collection of waste tire with the assistance of a driver helper. Routes are assigned by dispatch; however, it is the responsibility of the driver to successfully manage the loading and transportation of waste tire to the home facility. Included in this position will be the responsibility to complete all DOT required paperwork and company paperwork at each collection site.

Essential Task & Responsibilities:

• Understand and performs safe lifting techniques to lift and load tires of all sizes (personal vehicle, truck and tractor tires).
• Knowledge and understanding of navigating with local maps.
• Maintain a positive customer service attitude in demanding situations.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment and refer defects or repairs to dispatch through the successful completion of DVIR's; maintain clean, safe equipment.
• Driver must comply with all of FMCSA regulations at all times during their employment.
• Other duties will be assigned as necessary by the company.

Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, & Skills):

• Requires (2) years FMCSA commercial driving experience.
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL)
• Touch Freight/Hand loading and unloading

Abilities Required:

• Must be capable of lift up to and including 50 pounds on a routine basis and 75 + with assistance.
• Lace tires in a safe manner to reduce injury and maintain a secure load during transport.
• Perform heavy manual tasks under varying weather conditions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $30.00 per hour
