Machine Operator- Directional Drill Operator/ Locator
Candidates must be able to carefully and accurately follow safety and work instructions, organize and track their work via checklists and work procedures. This candidate will be responsible for operating machinery and product support equipment. Candidate must be familiar with industry standards, policies, guidelines, and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Locate/Operate with directional drill and utilize a mini excavator in accordance with blueprints and designated plans
- Responsible for locating cables and digging in accordance with blueprints and designated plans
- Maintain company equipment per service requirements and safety guidelines
- Maintain a constant focus on operating in a safe working environment.
- Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications:
- Heavy Machine Operator: 2+ years
- Prior experience in underground fiber and coax construction is preferred
- Experienced with a mini excavator is a requirement
- Experience with Vermeer 20x22 Series 2 with F5 Falcon Locator is preferred. However, we are willing to train an extremely experienced machine operator
- Knowledge of utility depths and placements
- Capable of reading and understanding blueprints
- Willing to work outdoors in all types of weather (i.e. snow, rain, wind, etc.) up to 6 days a week if necessary
- Must have reliable transportation.
License & Certifications:
- Valid Driver’s License, with a clean MVR (Required)
- Class A CDL & Med Card (Preferred)
- OSHA 10 or 30: Preferred

Pay: $22.00 - $35.00 per hour
