We are seeking a Claims Payment Manager for our Purchase, NY office. The Claims Payment Manager is responsible for maintaining and managing the systemic Claim Payments exceptions process. This will require research and interation with various business units to accurately and timely process claim payments. Additionally, the Claims Payment Manager will be responsible for the integrity of the Vendor Master Data Application and working with internal technology resources.

The position requires the management of a team of five to seven individuals. The Claims Payment Manager will report to the SVP of Operations Finance and will interact with both internal and external clients.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage a team processing daily claim payment exceptions and SAP Business Partner/Vendor changes/updates
  • Transform multiple manual processes to systemic solutions for no touch processing and scalability
  • Support Claims Processors to ensure claim payments are accurately and timely completed
  • Responsibilities include working with banking partners and reconciling bank payment files in accordance with books and records
  • Manage problem resolutions with claims business units
  • Coordinate and complete special projects (e.g. 1099 reporting, Vendor Master consolidation, creating stats and KPI’s)
  • Monthly meetings with Senior Claims Executives to review KPI’s
  • Meet with business units and third party administrators to make recommendations to improve claims processing and minimixe backoffice exceptions
  • Establish and manage Vendor Master Data (SAP Business Partner Application) working with internal technology resources

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Have a track record of transformation and change management
  • Must have proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Expert Level Excel Skills Required (Pivot Tables, V-Lookups, etc.)
  • Understanding of accounting procedures, internal/external reporting, internal controls and variance analysis
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage in a fast paced team environment with rapidly changing priorities and demands
  • Must have ability to multi-task and build business partnerships with corporate business units and senior executives.
  • Self-motivated, highly organized and able to prioritize
  • Must have high level of accuracy and be detailed oriented
  • Knowledge of SAP S4/HANA but not required
  • College degree required with a business and/or computer science concentration

Salary Range: $100,000– $150,000 Actual compensation for this role will depend on several factors including the cost of living associated with your work location, your qualifications, skills, competencies, and relevant experience
