About the job:

The Claims Coordinator is responsible for maintaining integrity of the claims processing system across all PACE organizations.

• High School Diploma

Preferred Skills:

• Minimum three years of experience with medical billing and coding.
• Ability to communicate and work effectively with various levels of facility and VOA/VOANS staff and providers
• Analytical and organizational ability
• Detail Oriented
• Ability to handle interruptions on a regular basis as well as the stress associated with meeting a variety of deadlines
• Ability to operate computerized equipment
• Ability to meet the requirements identified as indicated in the primary job functions

Essentials:

• Review, audit and maintain monthly IBNR reports for all PACE Organizations
• Reviews and approves weekly pre-check Registers for all PACE Organizations
• Assist staff at all PACE Organizations in reviewing and maintaining weekly Pend Reports
• Resolve claims issues for providers to submit complete and accurate claims and/or with process through the PACE Organizations claims provider
• Maintains productive relationship with VOANS contracted claims provider including review of required reports and improvement in claims processing performance
• Assist Director of Business Services and EHR Manager in reviewing and evaluating current and future EHR and claims systems
