CIVIL ENGINEER
TYPICAL DUTIES
· Project coordination with the Department Head, Principals of the firm, other engineers, and other disciplines or sub-Consultants necessary to produce the project.
· Ability to work on different types of projects (i.e. Residential, Commercial, Industrial, Infrastructure, Multi-family)
· Ability to work on multiple portions of the project (i.e. grading, drainage, paving, layouts, utilities, erosion control, specifications)
· Permitting documents and calculations for multiple entities
· Independent utility modelling for projects
· Produce plans and specifications
· Maintain project schedules and milestones
· Work in group settings and ability to work independently
· Prepare entitlement packages for properties
· Attend and present at public meetings
· Bidding of projects
· Proposal writing and scoping of projects
REQUIREMENTS
· B.S. in Civil Engineering or related field from an ABET-accredited institution
· Engineer in Training (E.I.T.) certification
· Professional Engineer License is strongly preferred
· Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in Residential, Commercial, Industrial, Infrastructure, or Multi-family
· Minimum of 5+ years of design of different systems (i.e. grading, drainage, paving, layouts, utilities, erosion control, specifications)
· Local and State of Georgia/SC permitting knowledge is strongly preferred
· Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D
· Proficiency with XPSWMM and WaterCAD is strongly preferred
· Strong verbal and writing skills
· Experience with public presentations is strongly preferred
· Must have a strong work ethic and be self-motivated. Ability to multi-task and manage time and workload.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $58,970.70 - $110,878.68 per year
