We are Truman Chocolates – a locally owned small business that opened in 2006 crafting handmade chocolate treats for the Brazos Valley. We also have an online store and we ship our chocolates all over the nation! We’re serious about our work, but we have fun while doing it! We need people with a positive outlook, good work ethic, and the integrity to get work done when no one’s watching. On the contrary, a negative person who only contributes about 10% to group projects will NOT be a good fit with our culture. If the qualities above sound like you, we NEED you!

We’re seeking joyful, motivated, and hard-working individuals for our Level 1 Chocolate and Sales Associates. We have both opening and closing shifts available.

Opening Shift: 9:30AM - 2PM | Closing Shift: 2PM - 6:30PM

Duties & Expectations:

• Address all customer needs happily and helpfully
• Take orders quickly and accurately in person and over the phone
• Maintain a clean and organized work space
• Be knowledgeable about all products
• Help with scaling out recipes, piping ganache, sorting and organizing chocolate, bagging/boxing products, etc.
• Be a team player and always be willing to offer a helping hand (you’ll catch all of us taking out the trash or mopping at some point)
• Spread chocolate happiness with a positive attitude, kind words, and a helpful heart!

Requirements & Responsibilities:

• Food Handlers certificate is required (online courses are available)
• You MUST be present and available to work during major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, Valentine’s, etc.)
• Maintain a flexible schedule based on shop needs
• Have reliable and dependable transportation
• Must be able to communicate clearly and professionally with team members as well as customers
• Must be able to work quickly and efficiently with attention to detail
• Must have evening and weekend availability

Qualifications & Perks:

• Customer service and/or food service experience preferred
• Social Media experience or creative thinking is a PLUS!

Compensation: $10/hr (plus tips)
