Position Description
Chemical Operators focus on 2-3 operations during their shift and provide data to senior operators. Candidates must have a strong work ethic, be safety conscious, display attention to detail, be adaptable, have good communication skills and be able to work in a team based environment. The successful candidate will safely and efficiently operate equipment necessary as a Chemical Operator. This position is responsible for performing quality control testing, product packaging and loading/unloading finished goods and raw material.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Communicate with senior chemical operator and team members regarding safety, production, quality, and operational issues Manufacture batches in accordance with all safety, quality, and efficiency standards by following written and verbal work instructions Follow procedures to safely and efficiently operate equipment related to the manufacturing of chemicals Use equipment and instrumentation to monitor pressure, temperature, and other conditions Wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Perform quality control testing as required Perform calibrations on equipment Maintain accurate documentation Maintain clean and safe work areas Complete required preventive maintenance

REQUIREMENTS
Climb stairs, stand for extended periods of time, and safely lift up to 50 lbs Frequent bending and lifting Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for extended periods of time Pass pulmonary function tests and physical exam for respirator use The Preferred Candidate Will Have Ability to handle tasks from initiation to completion Proven ability to follow procedures Ability to adapt to changing demands and to react positively to verbal instructions Ability to work overtime and weekends when required Desire to work hard and be dependable Basic understanding of computers Basic math skills Basic knowledge of controls equipment including flow meters, level sensors and pressure sensors Basic mechanical aptitude

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $67.00 per hour
