Established Independent Multi-Specialty Practice Seeking a Charge Entry Specialist to Join our Team!

Our mission at BMC is to provide excellent care through a multi-specialty approach from prevention to intervention of potentially life- threatening health problems. Seeking a Clinical Manager for our Triad locations that include Greensboro, High Point, Winston-Salem, Kernersville, Mt Airy and North Wilkesboro, North Carolina. The Charge Entry Specialist will work at our High Point office location.

The Charge Entry Specialist will ensure that all encounter forms, hospital charges and nursing home charges are collected and entered into Medical Manager timely and correctly in order to facilitate quick claims processing and payment.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

· Responsible for posting charges in Medical Manager from Provider encounter forms within the instructed time frame.

· Post charges in Medical Manager for hospital charges turned in by Providers upon receipt.

· Post charges in Medical Manager for nursing home charges turned in by Providers upon receipt

· Daily encounter form, hospital and nursing home charge verification and tracking.

· Communicates with Providers, management and/or staffing regarding errors, delays, etc. preventing timely entry of charges.

· Ensures and oversees OSHA and HIPAA requirements.

· Any additional duties as assigned by the Revenue Cycle Manager.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

· At least (2) two years of experience working in a medical office, preferably in billing.

· Knowledge of insurance products, CPT and ICD-10 Coding.

· Strong communication skills; verbal and written.

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

· Ability to quickly master Allscripts.

· Bilingual a plus!
