SUMMARY

Certified Scrum Master with provide scrum framework implementation support to the 90 Cyberspace Operations Squadron (90 COS), located on JBSA Lackland, Texas. Will provide support for up to 18 operational teams and 25 projects at any given time. A scrum master simultaneously will support a minimum of two operational teams at a time.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Includes the following:

  • Ability to facilitate scrum ceremonies to include, but not limited to, Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective
  • Assist the squadron in application of the Scrum Framework to facilitate both cyberspace capability development and Tactic, Techniques and Procedures development.
  • Ability to create scrum implementation to ensure successful product delivery.
  • Provide training, coaching and in agile process methodologies practices and scrum framework adoption to other operational scrum teams in the squadron to increase the effectiveness of the application of scrum in the organization.
  • Facilitate tasks by coordinating with external organizations and applicable higher headquarters counterparts.
  • Ensure that goals, scope and product domain etc. are understood by every member in the Scrum Team.
  • Ability to define project goals and work independently to complete projects while adhering to the established schedule
  • Ability to interface with senior managers/business/technology
  • Perform business process analysis and business process re-engineering to support client initiatives, identifying and communicating process improvements, process modeling, and documentation
  • Preform other job duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY/MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY

This position does not have supervisory or management authority.

EDUCATON AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Business or a closely related field preferred. Certified Scrum Master ( CSM) or Professional Scrum Master ( PSM) certification required. Must be willing to obtain either a A-CSM or PSM II certification within 6 months of hire date. Minimum of 2 years’ experience working as a scrum master in fast-paced complex environment.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Active TOP SECRET clearance required with the ability to obtain TS/SCI.
  • Ability to demonstrate capacity to work with large amounts of data, extract relevant information, and draw logical conclusions.
  • Working knowledge of Agile Scrum Methodologies.
  • Strong analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to pay attention to detail when working with data in order to highlight trends and patterns.
  • Possesses subject matter expertise in knowledge of statistical methodologies and data analysis, and a comprehensive understanding of relevant databases, data sources, data organization.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills; both oral and written.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products: Excel, Visio and PowerPoint
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills required

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position is primarily performed in climate-controlled office environment in a secured federal office setting.
