Medical Edge Recruitment has an immediate opening for a CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant)

Assignment Type: 7 Week Contract

Shift/Hours: 8 hour shifts (days, evenings, nights)

Certified Nursing Assistant - CNA Duties Include:

• As directed by the supervisor, participates in the implementation of the individual habilitation plan of clients where assigned.
• Complies with Program, Departmental and Facility policies and procedures.
• Assists licensed staff in carrying out activity and training programs.
• Assists individual clients with dining, toileting, grooming and leisure skills.
• Assists licensed staff in attending to the cleanliness of the client, clothing, beds and living areas.
• Assists and encourages client involvement in their activities of daily living.
• Assists in group and individual activities for clients.
• Assists in occupational, leisure, recreational, vocational and educational training programs.
• escorts clients as needed.
• Performs basic nursing duties such as taking and recording vital signs, measuring and recording intake and output and clients’ height and weight.
• Attends unit and staff conferences to develop an understanding of and reasons for treatment being given.
• Communicates pertinent information about the clients to licensed staff and/or supervisor.
• Assists residence staff in creating a safe, therapeutic and homelike environment.
• Attends facility-required training to increase personal skills relative to client care.
• Completes annual employee physical examination requirements.
• Maintains Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) proficiency standards and certification.
• Performs other duties as directed.

Certifeid Nursing Assistant - CNA Requirements:

• Valid California licensure as an CNA.
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience
• Current BLS certification.
• COVID VACCINATION MANDATORY but will accept exemptions
