JOB LOCATION: Various locations in the Des Moines Metro
HOURLY RATE: $19.00-$22.50
HOURS/DAYS SCHEDULE: Weekday evenings and/or Weekends; number of hours varies based on class schedule and your availability

POSITION OVERVIEW:
Operating within the policies, procedures, and practices of the YMCA of Greater Des Moines, this position is responsible for conducting American Red Cross Lifeguard and CPR training courses.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Prepare training site and materials for each course
- Conduct required training courses according to American Red Cross standards
- Submit completion record to direct supervisor
- Communicate participant feedback to supervisor as necessary
- Notify supervisor of any training supply needs
- Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor or designated staff person
- Demonstrate and support the objectives of the Association as embodied in the mission statement and values
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to read, write, and perform simple mathematical functions
- Current American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor Certification
- Intro to Y’s Cause & Culture Online Course - prior to starting if hired
- Additional training to be completed within the first 30 days and maintained afterwards
