The CDL Delivery Driver position has the responsibility of transporting products from local vendor to Flow-Zone and then Flow-Zone to the local customer. This position requires the individual to drive safely in all types of weather, including rain, fog and light snow; follow written and verbal instructions to complete deliveries and routes in a timely manner; properly maintain logs to track routes and deliveries; perform preventative vehicle maintenance checks and notify the appropriate contact of any red flags; strive for zero preventable incidents/accidents; comply with all traffic regulations and safety rules, while providing excellent customer service. Must be available on call and weekends.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

· Efficiently pick up and deliver products.

· Check materials from pick tickets and purchase orders.

· Verify or count materials to confirm quantities and make sure items are correct.

· Stock shelves daily. Bring forward inventory shelves.

· Use ratchet straps to bind pipe or pallets to truck or trailer.

· Keep vehicle clean of any trash in cab or in bed of truck. Help clean up warehouse, including sweeping and taking out trash. Wash truck exterior.

· Complete trailer inspection report every time trailer is used.

· Carryout vehicle inspections with company provided report form.

· General supervision: routine duties are performed with minimal supervision; standard practices or procedures allow me to proceed alone at routine work; occasional check of work while in progress; work is reviewed upon completion.

· Operates truck according to Federal, State, and local laws, as well as, Company operating safety procedures.

· Observe all traffic laws and safety regulations for trucks.

· Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

· High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

· Six months to one year related experience and/or training as a driver

· Experience working in a warehouse with pipe valve and fitting or another distribution industry

COMPUTER SKILLS

· Basic personal computer skills.

CERTIFICATE/LICENSES

· Commercial Drivers License for Department of Transportation drivers

Physical Demands

• Ascending or descending stairs, ramps and the like, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms
• Bending legs downward and forward by bending leg and spine.
• Using upper extremities to press against something with steady force in order to thrust forward, downward or outward.
• Standing, particularly for sustained periods of time.

· Using upper extremities to exert force in order to draw, drag, haul or tug objects in a sustained motion.

• Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving object horizontally from position to position.

· The visual acuity required including color, depth perception and field of those who whose work includes the operation of trucks, forklifts, cranes and high lift equipment.

• Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception

· Moderate physical activity performing somewhat strenuous daily activities of a primarily administrative nature.

· Exerting up to 75 pounds of force occasionally to lift, carry, pull, or otherwise move objects.

· Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items, works with the fingers, and perceives attributes of objects and materials.

Safety

· Every employee will take a proactive approach to ensure the safety of themselves, their co-workers, the environment and the general public. All FZ safety policies will be followed and all safety meetings/training are mandatory.

Work Environment

· Outdoors but in an enclosed vehicle protected from extreme weather conditions.

· Outdoors and indoor shop environment with adequate ventilation.

· 160-180 work hours a month
