Celebrating 75 years in business, Universal Metal Products, Inc. specializes in custom metal forming, serving customers globally in the Appliance, Transportation, and Industrial markets. We are strategically located in three US locations with over 100 forming machines. We provide tooling design, value-added assembly, heat treat and finishing operations.
We have an immediate need for a CDL Driver to join our team in Pemberville, OH. This newly created position is responsible for the delivery and pick up of parts and products per the instruction of management.
The Driver is not driving long distances – so the hire will be home evenings and weekends.
- Plan delivery/pick up routes to insure the most economical and efficient use of time and equipment.
- Deliver products to secondary operations
- Prepare deliveries prior to delivery
- Operate lift truck to move materials, parts or finished stock
- Load and unload trucks when necessary
- Check and maintain vehicle
- While not driving, will assist the Material Control department with shipping/receiving duties.
Qualifications
- Class A CDL
- Previous experience in heavy haul or doubles is a plus
- Ability to work independent
- Experience driving routes helpful
- Clean driving record
- Attendance is crucial for this position
