Since 1997, Claudette has been feeding and teaching the Rockaway Beach community. In 2012, she opened her brick and mortar store where her team serves the Rockaways gold standard for fresh, real, healthy, and delicious foods. Spearheaded by her two sons, John and Yarden, the store has turned into an unparalleled cafe with all of Claudette’s incredible foods, mediterranean spreads, pastries and baked goods, as well as some of NYCs best espresso and juice. Today, Claudette’s has become a community space where some of the Rockaways greatest minds relax with a falafel sandwich and a cappuccino. We’re looking for team members to join our family and grow with our ambitious company.

You’ll be sharing your passion, knowledge, and charisma with our customers, and handling the daily rush with grace and calmness, ensuring all interactions with customers are unparalleled with regards to hospitality.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service; ensure customer needs are met in a timely fashion
• Operate equipment, stock, serve products, work the chef’s case, and/or the coffee/juice bar

• Prepare, package, weigh, heat, and price prepared foods products for sale

• Maintain accurate department signage and pricing

• Follow department procedures for preparing, storing, rotating, and stocking of product

• Maintain a clean and well organized work area

• Follow and comply with established procedures, including Weights and Measures, health and sanitation, and safe work practices

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• Charismatic and exceptionally communicative

• High energy, enthusiastic, and displays an affinity for our vision and company culture

• Ability to follow directions and established procedures

• Ability to visually examine products for quality and freshness

• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed

• Must be able to lift 50lbs and stand for 8 hours

• Will be expected to take Food Handlers Cert within 1 months of employment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

• Food service: 1 year (Required)
• Barista experience: 1 year (Preferred)
