BronxConnectAlternative-to-Incarceration /Alternative to Detention Case Manager
Full-Time- 35 hrs/week
Position Description:
A BronxConnect ATI/ATD Case Manager is responsible for providing comprehensive case management services for up to 20 court-involved youth at a time. The Case Manager is part of the BronxConnect Case Management team and works under the supervision of the ATI/ATD Site Supervisor to provide case management, counseling, court advocacy services to clients. The Case Manager is also responsible for maintaining client records, writing court reports, making and monitoring referrals for clients, and interacting with the families of young people.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Case Management:
- Manage a case load of 10-20 youth.
- Conduct intake interviews with potential participants when required.
- Develop and monitor strategy plans, manage files and enter electronic notes.
- Conduct weekly with youth for 1-on-1 sessions.
- Make and monitor referrals for clients.
- Monitor the educational performance of youth.
- Monitor mentor-youth relationships.
- Engage with participants in program activities when required.
Court Advocacy:
- Write reports describing the progress of clients for submission to the courts
- Accompany participants to court dates and advocate on their behalf when
required and / or in the absence of court advocate.
General
- Promote the work of Urban Youth Alliance through personal and professional contacts
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Experience working with court-involved youth.
- Bilingual Spanish-speaking a plus!
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Ability and experience working collaboratively with a team of community professionals and with court professionals.
- Experience with drug/alcohol treatment, mental health services, co-occurring disorders, adolescent development, trauma-informed and strength-based approached preferred.
- Ability to work with people of diverse background. Comfortable working in a community-based, faith-based organization.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills. Strong writing ability required.

Bachelor's Degree

English – Proficiently
Position Type: Full-time, requires some evening and weekend hours. Compensation: Competitive salary commensurate with experience. Excellent benefits.
