About this role:
Sierra7 is seeking a talented, competitive, and creative Capture Manager with demonstrated skill and experience winning medium to large, highly technical, competitive opportunities. The Capture Manager serves as the lead for external teaming negotiations and teammate’s role during the capture and proposal to include identifying, selecting, and recruiting teammates, subcontractors, and suppliers. Staffing the core capture team, managing the capture, and bid and proposal (B&P) budget leading team to the win!
Position Responsibilities:
- Formulating winning capture strategies, and developing capture plans
- Obtaining and managing the resources necessary to prosecute capture plans
- Leading the development of gap analyses, competitive assessments, teaming strategy, price to win, and overall win strategy/value proposition
Qualifications:
- 10 years + experience
- BS Degree required (relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a degree)
- Proven track record in winning a variety of technical programs, including pre-proposal, and working on industry proposal teams and serving on review teams
- Strong strategic thinking and decision-making skills, to maximize probability of win and define competitive positioning, win strategy, themes, and discriminators
- Strong knowledge of industry participants providing the customer with solutions and high-end services support
- Proven ability to evaluate teammates and partners
- Demonstrated oral and written communication skills with all levels of company and customer management
- Strong analytic, presentation, and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex tasks and matrixed teams
- Ability to gain internal support and to operate independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to establish working relationships with customers, other companies, technical staff, managers, and peers
- Demonstrated effective and efficient use of capture and proposal resources
- Demonstrated performance conducting various color reviews
- Demonstrated experience capturing large opportunities (>$25M)
- Technical background
- Demonstrated experience implementing unique capture strategies to increase probability of win
