Purpose:


GP2 Advanced Farmers are the designated leaders of the individual farmers in GP2. Advanced Farmers will be a source of information, training, and knowledge for the Farmers, old and new. GP2 Advanced Farmers work with the GP2 Supervisors to ensure daily tasks are completed correctly and efficiently. GP2 Advanced Farmers are responsible for onboarding new employees, along with bridging communication between them and Supervisors.


Essential Duties:


  • Lead the Farmers as directed by the GP2 Supervisors.
  • Provide support, direction, tools and resources to GP2 Farmers.
  • Interface with GP2 Supervisors to find out what tasks are to be directed to the farmers.
  • Understand workflow of the day based on room assignment.
  • Provide training and assistance for farmers as they perform each task.
  • Assist team in understanding and grasping flower/veg gardening techniques, as well as harvesting.
  • Interface with each member of the team to ensure correct training encourages employee morale, etiquette, and company procedures.
  • Ensure farmers are performing at 100% efficiency & working on correct tasks.
  • Communicate with GP2 supervisors to discuss team and individual performance.
  • Keep an open line of communication between Farmers, Supervisors and Managers.


Compliance and Reporting:


  • Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations.
  • Ensure that workflow procedures are documented and that appropriate controls and audits are in place to ensure data and processing integrity.

Other Duties:


  • Other duties as assigned, including, but not limited to, assisting other departments to help facilitate the additional and/or supplemental work such as harvesting, trimming, packaging, cleaning and light maintenance as needed throughout the facility.

Supervision:


  • These are nonexempt employees who are directly supervised by the Growth Phase 2 Supervisors.
  • Responsible for the supervision of all GP2 Farmers.

Work Expectations:


  • Six months GP2 is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a focused, quick, and efficient manner as both an individual and team contributor.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow direction and take responsibility for multiple assignments independently and with the team.
  • Demonstrated ability to delegate tasks, and hold employees accountable.
  • Knowledge of Standard Operating Procedures as well as process requirements and controls.
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute to a culture of professionalism.
  • Demonstrated oral communication capabilities.
  • Knowledge of local, state and federal laws relating to key areas of responsibility.
  • Must be able to secure appropriate work credentials from the Colorado Department of Revenue (MED).
  • Commitment of six months working the position before applying for other positions within the company, unless applying for GP2 Supervisor role.

Education:


  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.


Working Conditions:


  • Able to move about a manufacturing warehouse environment.
  • Able to use equipment such as ladders, lifts, rolling staircases, and scaffolding.
  • Able to work in a warm and humid environment performing physically demanding tasks daily.
  • Able to lift and move up to 30 pounds consistently.
  • Able to bend and contort to fit in somewhat tight spaces.
  • Hours may exceed 40 hours per week occasionally.
  • Occasional travel by conventional means including aircraft, motor vehicle and within the region to other locations as required.
