HeartBeet Cafe's Queen Anne location is hiring one full-time worker. Cafe workers provide customers with nutritious and delicious food and excellent customer service in a way that fosters repeat business and contributes to a positive team-oriented environment.
Cafe Staff members provide customers with hassle-free “5-Star” customer service in a way that fosters repeat business and contributes to a positive team-oriented environment.
Duties & Accountabilities
Cafe Team Members are responsible for:
- Maintaining high levels of customer service, ensuring orders are never a hassle for the customer
- Assisting customers by recommending menu items and completing sales on a POS system
- Boosting sales by highlighting add-ons and promotions
- Preparing drinks, salads, and bowls
- Performing quality assurance checks on customer orders
- Bagging orders that have been quality-checked for pickup by customers and delivery drivers
- Keeping workstations stocked and organized
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and sanitized workstation
- Washing dishes and produce
- Assisting with general cafe organization, putting away supply deliveries on arrival
- Food prep work as needed to maintain proper pars of inventory
- Completing opening and closing checklists
- Assisting other team members as needed to facilitate a team-oriented environment
- Maintaining the cleanliness of the front of the store, inside and out, and the trash areas
- Completing additional side tasks and projects as requested
- As requested by management, participate in training newer, less-experienced team members
Minimum Job Requirements
- Must be able to walk, stand, talk, hear, bend, and lift up to 25 pounds
- Maintain an active Washington State Food Handler’s Permit
- 6+ months of experience in food service
- Able to access apps via phone or computer to view work schedules, communications, and policies
- Fully vaccinated against Covid-19
- Great attention to detail
Availability
- Fixed 5-day per week schedule, Tuesday through Saturday - approx. 40 hours per week
- Shifts could start as early as 10AM or go as late as 8:30 PM
- Shift is approximately 8.5 hours with a 30-minute meal break and two paid 10-minute rest periods
- Sundays/Mondays Off!
Compensation
- Base pay is $16.50 + tips. Additionally, we offer a "guarantee" rate $3 higher than your base pay (For example, if your base pay is $16.50, your guarantee is $19.50/hr); the company will pay the difference if customer tips do not exceed the guarantee. Also, this is not a "cap" but a guarantee.
- Most full time workers earn on average approximately $42,000 per year with tips.
