Position Purpose/Summary: Documents and evaluates credit union core business processes, enabling and governing
processes and sub-processes. Works with process owners on business process reengineering. Manages and assists in
implementation of business process reengineering and Business Performance projects. Major focus on reviewing various
department workflows, process mapping, and costing resources to redefine process for overall improvement reducing
staff underutilization, reducing non-value-added processes and increase profitability and/or service levels. Work closely
with the Business Performance Director of Process Improvement and other Business Performance staff on project
reengineering review and makes recommendations to department heads for implementation.
Education & Experience: We pride ourselves in our advocacy for education, growth, and opportunity for experience at
Visions Federal Credit Union. This position would minimally require an undergraduate degree in business, financial,
technology, quality, or related discipline. Minimum two years’ experience in project management, quality, and/or
business performance, preferably in the financial services industry. Quality or Lean Six Sigma experience preferred
- Essential Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Due to the nature of this role in dealing with senior management and
employees on an on-going basis, the position requires (and is not limited to):
Must have a broad business perspective with an awareness of organizational cultural characteristics that can
impede success and profitability; must be oriented towards operations and understand the link between
operational performance and financial results.
Must have strong process orientation skills and be capable of understanding entire value chain from product
conceptualization to sales and service.
Must have solid understanding of technology, quality tools, process design, and automation to reduce variability
and waste.
Must have advanced verbal, written, interpersonal, presentation and facilitation skills.
Must demonstrate advanced analytical and project management skills and have familiarity with statistical
analysis tools including D.M.A.I.C., Lean, or standard equivalents.
Previous experience in Symitar workflow/environment is a plus.
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft office suite products, including Visio, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required.
The ability to come up with solutions to loosely defined business problems by leveraging pattern detection over
potentially large datasets and best in-house practices.
Design and create data reports and reporting tools to help business executives in their decision making.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze and disseminate significant amounts of
information with attention to detail and accuracy.
Must be self-motivated to seek out and identify areas to be targeted for efficiency reengineering, learn new
software tools, and have ability to multi-task and handle varying deadlines within a fast-paced work environment
