Job summary
Amazon Pharmacy Business Development is seeking a driven, talented, and experienced
business leader to play a critical role on the leadership team of the Business Development
Organization working with the pharmaceutical industry. This position will focus on developing strategic opportunities and partnerships on behalf of
Amazon Pharmacy to drive growth and foster patient-centric initiatives for pharma
manufacturers.

Key job responsibilities
This role will be instrumental in developing a business for manufacturers on
Amazon pharmacy that supports both HCP and DTC commercial innovation including end to
end patient experiences. This role will develop strategic plans for new verticals and support the
creation of new products and services that will drive growth and innovation across the
pharmaceutical industry.
The business development role will implement the Amazon Pharmacy manufacturer B2B
strategy and drive growth and profitability goals of the B2B business. Within the first year this
individual contributor will develop and launch new manufacturer partnerships, support strategic
store launch initiatives, and strongly influence the business development team’s organization
and financial trajectory.

• The ideal candidate for this role will have an MBA or equivalent, highly comfortable

with leading the full go to market end to end process inclusive of articulating a
compelling pitch, prioritizing top of the funnel outreach, lead client relationships at the
SVP and C-Suite level, create and negotiate service agreements and direct purchase
agreements with pharmaceutical manufacturers, negotiate complex deals and pass off to
implementation.

• You will also have a strong understanding of therapeutic categories and market

applicability.

• You will also have existing knowledge or experience in the pharmaceutical industry and

familiarity with marketing, sales, procurement, and market access data used by
manufacturers to drive their business.

• Experience with legal and compliance in the pharmaceutical industry is required.
• You will have a high degree of comfort in ambiguity, leading through confusion with

clear ideas supported by data, plans, and deliverables.

• You will have the ability to envision both the short term and the long term, and adjust

expectations and plan of action accordingly.

• You also demonstrate clear, concise, written and oral communication.

The base pay range for this position is $140,100 - 189,500 per year. Pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on payment and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
