Summary

The JDE Business Analyst holds a critical role in this organization as our ERP and its various integrations are the backbone of our business. In this role, a person is responsible for the following: Provide support and consultation to end users. Coordinate and develop training and testing. Manage user guides and documentation. Responsible for change management and communication. Responsible for system utilization and end-user satisfaction. Review and approve process improvements. Responsible for helping coordinate business alignment.

Essential Functions

• Provides support for end-users and assist SMEs with researching issues.
• Coordinates with IT to resolve system issues and bugs.
• Identifies training needs and then designs, develops, manages and facilitates training curriculum.
• Develops test plans and scripts.
• Coordinates and performs testing while ensuring proper documentation.
• Performs all activities associated with business requirement collection, including documenting project s vision and scope, requirements definition, development of design documents, and coordination with development and operation teams through project completion.
• Manages system changes through effective application of system change control processes.
• Ensures consistency, accuracy, and quality of all end user documentation.
• Evaluates, ensures, and reports system utilization.
• Communicates status to project stakeholders and manager.
• Actively participates in monthly group status meetings, weekly conference calls and responds to identified issues.
• Manages an effective environment for responding to customer inquiries or problems via telephone, online and mail.
• Provides functional and technical specifications and other delivery documentation for software design.
• Collaborates with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements for bolt-on systems or extensions.
• Implements, integrates, supports, and trains users on bolt-on systems or extensions that complement JDE software functionality.
• Keeps abreast of new functionality, tools updates, extensions, and bolt-on system technologies. Recommends updates and improvements as necessary.
• Participates in vendor (Oracle) conferences, webcasts, and user group communities.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Education, Experience, and Knowledge

• Ten (10) to fifteen (15) years of JD Edwards Business Analyst experience
• Extensive knowledge with specified module of JD Edwards (Job Cost, Procurement, Project Management, Equipment, Inventory, Financials).
• JDE Consultant Certification a plus.
• Good understanding of Internet technologies and trends including services, software and protocols.
• Strong interpersonal skills to interview individuals and groups about their needs, negotiate priorities and resolve conflicts.
• Able to critically evaluate and integrate information gathered from multiple sources to prioritize and summarize true needs at appropriate levels of detail.
• Able to coordinate and communicate information effectively to project stakeholders and management.
• Organizational skills to work with the vast array of information gathering during elicitation and analysis and to cope with rapidly changing information.
• Able to manage multiple deadlines in a timely manner, prioritize multiple projects and provide status reports on open projects.
• Able to coordinate with IT and functional groups to ensure projects meet schedules.
• Able to travel intermittently
