POSITION/PROGRAM: Bus Driver/Hut Staff - Ski Program

WORK LOCATION: Billings and Red Lodge, Montana

PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS: Must be at least 25 years of age to comply with insurance requirements. Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent. Must have a clean driving record. Strong communication and people management skills. Punctual and professional at all times and high customer service focused. CPR/First Aid certified strongly preferred upon hire or willingness to obtain.

Preferred experience with a multi-passenger van that has a wheelchair accessible lift. Must be able and willing to work directly with a wide variety of adaptive skiers, from children to adults, and individuals with IDD and PD. Must be professional at all times, patient and enthusiastic. Must hold current CPR/1st Aid certification.

WORKING SCHEDULE: This is a seasonal nonexempt hourly position with basic working hours 40 hrs/week on
Wed-Sun. Hours will be, at times, flexible to meet the various requirements of the position with additional hours only with supervisory pre-approval.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Perform safety checks on the Eagle Mount van each time before operation.
2. Complete trip check every trip and directly notify office staff if vehicle maintenance is needed.
3. Refuel the vehicle at GM Petroleum fuel pumps as needed.
4. Assist participant riders getting on and getting off the bus.
5. Drive the Eagle Mount van in a safe manner following organizational driving expectations at all times. Use of cell phone while driving is cause for immediate termination.

6. Pick up and drop off passengers at identified, pre-determined locations.

7. Regulate heating and cooling for passenger comfort.
8. Maintain the vehicle in a clean condition including taking it to be washed and cleaning the interior as necessary.
9. Render first aid as necessary within organizational expectations.
10. Assists participants during their lunch break if needed.
11. Provide appropriate time and opportunity for participants to toilet.
12. Oversees and collaboratively work with the bus aide (if applicable) to maintain passenger safety and comfort.
13. Assist participants in ADLs as necessary using appropriate Camper Care training as provided by Eagle Mount staff.
14. Contact supervisor or Executive Director in case of an accident.

Hut Staff:

15. Maintain clean and tidy Eagle Mount ski hut, including vacuuming daily.
16. Restock water as necessary.
17. Filing for program as assigned.
18. All other duties as assigned by supervisor.

8. Attend all staff meetings and other meetings when directed.
9. Attend other Eagle Mount events, when directed to by one’s supervisor.
10. Participate in required training appropriate to your position, and beneficial to the vision and mission of Eagle Mount.
11. Submit timesheets to the Director for approval prior to submission to the Eagle Mount office.

12. All other duties as assigned.

WORKING CONDITIONS

1. Sits for extended periods of time
2. Bends, stoops, reaches, climbs stairs in and out of vehicle, pushes wheelchairs, and walks intermittently.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
