SALARY: $17.00-$24.00 per hour
WORK LOCATION: Littleton, CO
SHIFT: Monday-Friday, some 4:00 AM-12:00 AM or 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM
ROLE SUMMARY:
The Brewing Team is responsible for wort production, yeast handling, fermentation and beer conditioning. This is a physically and mentally intensive role that requires exceptional motivation, a team-oriented mentality, a true passion for craft beer, and scheduling flexibility. This position reports to the Brewmaster but will also take direction from the Brewhouse Supervisor and Sr. Brewers.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Understanding and adhering to safety standards
  • Understanding and adhering to quality standard
  • Flexibility to rotate shifts and work different hours, i.e., early mornings, late evenings, and weekends
  • Cleans and maintains brewing equipment and environment
  • Understanding safe chemical handling and appropriate PPE is a necessary part of this job
  • Learn from current Brewer I, II, III’s and the Laboratory team as the situation demands
  • Skillful dexterity with tri-clamp fittings
  • Alerts the current Brewer I, II, III’s or other management to potential quality or safety concerns
  • Moderate interaction with the public and other brewery guests
  • Ability to multitask and adjust to changing priorities and an ability to work both independently and within a team environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong technical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong work ethic and self-starting attitude and solid interpersonal skills and team orientated
  • Excellent organizational, planning, and time management skills
  • Positive attitude and strong team spirit
  • Additional duties may be assigned as necessary
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School Diploma or equivalency required
  • Prior brewing experience, or brewing production setting experience, and/or degree from brewing school preferred
  • Basic understanding of beer brewing and finishing preferred
  • Computer and communication skills
  • Ability to carry/lift 50-165lbs. and work safely in a loud and/or hot work environment
  • Must be able to crouch, bend, lift, stoop and reach
  • Ability to work on your feet for 8 hours or more
  • Forklift Certified, or ability to obtain one soon after hiring
  • Must be able to work in hot/cold, wet and loud environment
  • Must be able to work around steam, electricity, harsh chemicals, and solvents
  • Flexibility and availability for day, afternoon, or midnight shifts, including weekends and occasionally holidays
  • Mechanical background preferred
