Job Summary

Madruga Bakery, an artisan bakery and cafe located in South Miami, is seeking a bread baker to join our team. We are a family run, neighborhood bakery, focusing on producing the highest quality products and giving great customer service. Bread baking is the foundation of the bakery, with a focus on whole grain, naturally leavened breads produced from flour milled on the in-house stone mill. We put care into all that we do. The ideal candidate would have experience baking bread in a commercial bakery. However, we are willing to train the right candidate with baking or commercial kitchen experience.

Job responsibilities include:

-Mixing doughs

-Shaping bread by hand

-baking bread in a deck oven

-Mixing and baking additional products like banana bread, granola, etc.

-weighing, chopping, and prepping ingredients

-ability to lift 50 lbs and work on ones feet for an 8 hour shift

-thoroughly cleaning work area

We are seeking a passionate baker who posseses the following skills:

-The ability to work quickly in a fast paced environment

-A positive attitude and friendly disposition

-A strong interest in artisan bread

-An enjoyment of leaning a natural process

-The ability to work well with others

-Ability to maintain a clean work space and environment

-Strong punctuality and time management skills

We are looking for full and part time availability. Bread shifts start as early as 4am. We look forward to hearing from you!

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $19.00 per hour
