We are seeking energetic and customer service oriented Box Office Ticket Sellers to join our Box Office team. The Box Office Ticket Seller is reponsible for selling admission tickets to the general public and assisting guests at the interior and exterior windows for Amerian Airlines Center box office. The Box Office Ticket Seller is reponsible for selling admission tickets to the general public and assisting guests at the interior and exterior windows for Amerian Airlines Center box office.
- Sells admission tickets from an automated ticketing system
- Accepts payment and makes change before giving tickets to the guest
- Answers questions concerning events, tickets, schedules, and gives information concerning coming attractions
- Delivers Will-Call and Digital tickets after verifying the guests' photo identification
- Balances cash and receipt drawer with manager at the end of each shift
- Answers telephone as needed
- Provides courteous and professional customer service
- Assists guests with ticket resolution at entrances
- Other duties as assigned
- High school diploma/GED and 6 months work related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience; Ticketmaster knowledge is preferred but not required
- Bilingual ability is a plus
- Must be customer-service oriented, have a fan-friendly attitude and a professional appearance at all times
- Must have basic computer skills and the ability to type 25 wpm
- Must be able to assist guests with mobile phone/app maneuverability
- Must be reliable and capable of working independently
- Attention to detail
- Must be able to speak well to customers and other employees
- Demonstrated ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
Physical Demands/Work Environment
- Must adhere to all company saftey and building protocols
- Requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time, stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear, use hands to reach and handle tickets and receipts
- Position requires the ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, however, during events, the noise level may be loud
- Must be able to work in a high-volume, stressful environment at times
- Employees must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required
