Saint James the Apostle Catholic Church, Springfield, NJ is seeking a PART-TIME BOOKKEEPER/HUMAN RESOURCES.Job Summary: Manages financial operation of the parish. Responsible for all accounting activities including intake and disbursement of monies, balancing and reconciling accounts, financial reporting, and payroll.
Essential Job Duties:
- Maintain employee records (employee hours, health benefits, payroll, personnel files) and add/terminate employee to BAS and ADP.
- Enter employee hours to MyEnroll monthly.
- Keep up to date with all policies (e.g., whistleblower, sexual harassment) and maintain any associated paperwork.
- Perform bookkeeping duties (enter/pay bills, print checks)
- Assist parish accountant as needed.
- Record proper income to accounts in QuickBooks.
- Collect and submit any special collection proceeds to Archdiocese.
- Maintain cashflow report for Church.
- Prepare weekly financial/cash flow reports for Pastor.
- Reconcile all bank accounts monthly in QuickBooks.
- Excellent in multi-tasking, time management, and ability to prioritize work
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong communication skills
- Knowledge of office management systems and procedures
- Proficient in Quickbooks, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook
